Buick has been on a roll as of late, with a lineup of compelling new crossovers that offer style and desirable features at reasonable prices. The last vehicle in Buick’s fleet to get redesigned is the flagship Enclave, a midsize three-row crossover, and the new Enclave looks worth the wait. with bold new styling, a fresh new interior now with 30 inches of screens, and a more powerful standard 2.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder producing 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque.
Based on the same platform as the new Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia, the new Enclave is longer, wider, and taller than the outgoing model. Its standard turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-4 produces 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, which matches the Acadia and is a bit more than the Traverse. The Enclave is front-wheel drive as standard but all-wheel drive is optional, and like before it can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
In terms of styling the 2025 Enclave aligns itself with the rest of Buick’s model lineup by adopting the brand’s new corporate face and design language, though from the side the connection to its GM stablemates is obvious. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the new Enclave looks to me like it’s a very hungry catfish or a whale sifting the ocean for krill, but it all kind of works. The interior looks much more premium than the outgoing model, with a floating center console and an appealing mix of materials and colors. Overall the new Enclave’s cabin has an almost Art Deco vibe.
A 30-inch trapezoidal screen sits atop the dashboard; unlike other Buicks witha similarly shaped display, the Enclave’s unit is one continuous, seamless screen. Standard features include seven camera angles with surround view, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, customizable multicolor ambient lighting, Buick’s QuietTuning technology, heated and power-adjustable first-row seats, and a 12-speaker Bose Audio system.
GM’s slick Super Cruise advanced driver’s assistance system (ADAS) is available on all trims of Buick Enclave, marking the first time a Buick is offered with this Level 2 hands-free automated driving technology. Standard safety features for all Enclaves include blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, automated emergency braking with intersection capability, traffic sign recognition, and lane keeping assist and lane-departure warning.
The 2025 Enclave is offered in three trim levels: Preferred, Sport Touring, and the top-of-the-line Avenir. The Sport Touring model livens things up with a flat-bottom steering wheel, a gloss black grille surrounds and other trim bits, and ST badging. The Avenir moves things upmarket with a standard 16-speaker Bose Performance Series stereo, 22-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, walk-up light animations, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive dampers, ventilated and massaging first-row seats, heated outboard second-row seats and a power-folding third row.
Buick has not yet announced pricing for the 2025 Enclave, but if it carries similar value propositions to the rest of its Buick stablemates, the new Enclave will be an affordable, well-equipped, stylish, and luxurious offering in the three-row crossover space. Buick says the new Enclave should be available to build and order later this summer, though there’s no word on when they’ll start reaching dealers.
