2025 Buick Enclave Review: Prices, Specs, and Photos


A three-row SUV that sits in the premium segment between mainstream and luxury, the 2025 Buick Enclave competes against such vehicles as the Kia Telluride, Cadillac XT6, and Acura MDX.

It has a history of being roomy and comfortable, with a ride that aims for coddling more than sportiness. We haven’t driven it yet, and we will give it a TCC Rating when we do. (Read more about how we rate cars.)

Just about everything, including the design, platform, engine, cabin, and the large screen for the front occupants. It also benefits from additional driver-assist technology, including the first application in a Buick of GM’s Super Cruise hands-free system.

The design adopts the new Buick design inspired by the Wildcat concept car from 2022. It consists of a large, low-set trapezoidal grille, high-set thin headlights with integrated daytime running lights in a reverse checkmark design, and a look defined more by shapes than lines. The grille, front fascia, and hood vary by model. 

The profile is a traditional two-box SUV shape, and the surfaces are broken up by subtle creases more than defined lines. It’s bigger, too. Buick says it’s wider, taller, longer, and has a longer wheelbase, though final specifications are not yet available.

Under the hood a new 2.5-liter turbo-4 replaces the 3.6-liter V-6, upping horsepower from 310 to 328. It sends its power to the front wheels as standard, and all-wheel drive that drivers can turn on and off is optional. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic versus last year’s 9-speed. Fuel economy ratings are not yet available, but the Enclave can tow 1,500 pounds as standard and 5,000 pounds with an available towing package.

Expect the suspension to continue with a soft tune for a smooth ride, even in the “sportier” Sport Touring model. The Enclave will come standard with improved passive dampers and 20-inch wheels, but the Avenir model will get adaptive (but not adjustable) dampers and 22-inch wheels. That’s up from 18- and 20-inch wheels on the 2024 model. 

Inside, the Enclave features a new 30.0-inch continuous screen that makes up the instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen (a small touch portion on the left of the screen can also turn on and off the available head-up display). 

The Enclave comes with seating for six with second-row captain’s chairs and a two-passenger third row. It’s generally well appointed, with contrast stitching on the upholstery and well-chosen materials. The gear shifter moves to a steering wheel stalk, making more room for a standard wireless smartphone charging pad, and a floating center console has room under it for a bag or purse. The rear two rows will be offered with power-folding seats.

Standard and available safety features are expanded. It comes standard with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alerts, a rear seat reminder, a teen driver system that allows owners to set boundaries for younger drivers, a surround-view camera system, and GM’s safety alert seat that vibrates in the direction of a potential hazard. New this year are intersection collision mitigation, an improved version of active lane control with lane centering, blind-spot monitors with steering support, reverse automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and an exit monitoring system. Super Cruise will also be optional, and it will come with a rear camera mirror on the Avenier model.

How much does the 2025 Buick Enclave cost?

That’s yet to be determined, but the 2025 Enclave will be offered in Preferred, ST, and Avenir trim levels. The outgoing model started at $46,690 and rose to the mid-$50,000s in Avenir trim. Standard features of the Preferred include heated power front seats, active noise cancellation, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, an automatic rear liftgate, wireless smartphone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in, and 20-inch wheels.

The Sport Touring, or ST, model gets blacked out trim and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It has no tuning changes to the engine or suspension to make it sportier.

At the top of the lineup, the Avenir gets cooled and massaging front seats, heated rear seats, 126-color ambient lighting, a head-up display, power-folding second- and third-row seats, adaptive dampers, a panoramic sunroof, and the 22-inch wheels.
