We all know that the factory warranty doesn’t transfer on the C8 Z06 if the original owner sells it in the first six months.
Unfortunately, that restrictive General Motors policy also applies to the 2024 E-Ray like this one that’s being offered on Cars & Bids, the first to hit the online auction market. With the auction slated to close April 17, the high bid is already $117,000 – and likely nowhere near its peak.
Since most of us have never had the privilege of driving a new E-Ray yet, and may never, we thought it might be nice to share the original owner’s limited views on the wild ride that he just bought in March and has driven only 500 miles since: “…This car is a BEAST!
In terms of appearance, performance, and tech. This is 1,000X nicer to drive than my last C8 3LT Z51 that I had. This is in a totally different league of exotic/luxury sports car.”
His 2024 coupe is equipped with the top-of-the-line 3LZ package, with Carbon Flash Metallic paint and Carbon Flash Metallic removable roof panel over a Jet Black interior.
Of course, the main attraction of the new all-wheel drive E-Ray is its innovative gasoline-electric powerplant that starts with the Stingray’s 6.2-liter LT2 V8 and adds an electric motor and a 1.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. It all adds up to create a whopping 655 horsepower and 595 lb-ft of torque that propels the car from 0 to 60 in an all-time Corvette record 2.5 seconds.
Other equipment on this one includes the ZER Performance and Stealth Interior Trim packages, Carbon Fiber Interior Package Level 2, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, front axle lift system with memory, power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated GT2 leather bucket seats, black exhaust tips, heated steering wheel, performance data and video recorder, Edge Red engine cover, head-up display, and 14-speaker Bose sound system.
Post-factory mods include radiator and brake duct protectors, paint protection film on forward-facing surfaces, and tinted windows.
With an MSRP of $129,525, how much higher do you predict the final auction price will soar?
