When quarterly sales figures come out, it’s common to focus on the cars that sold the most in the previous three months. That’s certainly interesting on some level, but at the same time, most of the top sellers are pretty consistent. Presumably, the Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado will take the top two spots, then throw in a few of the most popular compact crossovers and the Ram 1500, and you’ve generally got the top five vehicles for total sales.
One metric that we find particularly interesting, though, is the cars that posted the biggest year-over-year sales increases. Sometimes the top performers make it because, for whatever reason, demand has increased. Other times, it’s because production has increased enough to finally get more cars into the hands of the people who want them. Regardless, it’s always fun to see which vehicles’ sales are on the upswing. So let’s take a look at the winners from Q1 this year.
